Pearl Jewelry Guide
STORAGE AND CARE OF PEARL JEWELRY
THE RIGHT PLACEMENT OF PEARLS
The surface of the pearl is very soft and sensitive, as it is a natural product. The surface of gemstones or other hard materials can be scratched. For this reason, you should store your pearl jewelry in a different place than your other jewelry; small silk pouches or bags are ideal. However, leather should not be used when storing, as the tannic acid of leather can damage the luster.

THE PEARL IS AFFECTED BY HEAT
Since the surface is sensitive, pearls should be kept out of strong sunlight. It is advisable to avoid wearing the preferred pearl necklace during a sunbath, as sunscreen and human sweat can damage the surface of the pearl. Additionally, pearls should not be stored in close proximity to high heat, as this could dry out the water-covered surface.

THE PEARL IS USED EVERY DAY
It is advisable to avoid wearing the pearl necklace while showering or bathing. It is also not recommended to swim in chlorinated waters or in salty sea water. It is important to be cautious when applying daily makeup and perfume, as pearls should be protected from fats, acids, and bleaches that are often present in cosmetics. It is recommended to apply pearl jewelry to the skin only after styling and makeup, which is not creamed or perfumed.

CLEANING & CARING FOR PEARL JEWELRY
To clean pearl jewelry, clean water and a soft cotton cloth are sufficient. Lightly dampen the cloth and gently wipe over the pearls. Then let the jewelry dry on a towel at room temperature. Do not use a hairdryer or place your delicate jewelry on the heater. The outer pearl layer could dry out, become dull, or discolor.
